Bad news for bargain minded club...

Bad news for bargain minded club visitors to Albuquerque- Knockouts isn’t what it used to be. They have rearranged the VIP room and added more cameras, so it is a less private experience than it used to be. And in the last few visits over the course of a year I have had pretty sterile dances there from every dancer I tried. Some touching was allowed, but not much, and not for very long. So although Knockouts used to be a real bargain, it hasn’t been the last few times I have been there. The decline has lasted long enough that I don’t think it is an aberration.

There is a large stage in the middle, with a bar along one side. You can still have some fun with some of the dancers when you tip at the stage. Drinks are modestly priced, $4 for a beer, they have a full bar and there are often happy hour specials. There is no cover during the day.

The dancers are a from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, at least more so than the other clubs in Abuquerque and range from very attractive to not so much. Dances on the floor, at $5 are a real bargain, and the VIP room is only $10, but as I said they aren’t as touchy as they used to be, so it is less of a bargain. It used to be very high mileage with the right dancer, and there used to be a lot of the right dancers. Now, not so much. Still if you are downtown without transportation, it is worth a visit. It does fall short of the TD’s clubs in Albuquerque though.
