How the mighty have fallen! I got back to Philly recently after a number of years in other states. I'd heard that Delilah's wasn't what it used to be, but I had no idea how far it has fallen. Couldn't believe it. It used to be on a Friday or Saturday night the women were solid 8.5-10s, no exceptions. They took their jobs seriously, were perfectly made up, and really put on a show. This was always mostly air, unless you paid for the champagne court, but for eye candy it was worth it. Weeknights and daytime the dancers were more in the 7-8 range, with occasionally one a little lower, but good even at weird times.

I visited a couple of weeks ago on a Friday night, a couple 8s but the average was more like a 6. Women who never would have gotten in the door are now the norm. Sad, really sad. Dances aren't any better than before, prices the same. Not worth returning. Got dances from a few ladies, but they couldn't even keep my attention.

It seemed like the club was darker and more dismal than before. I think the walls must have always been black, but it was only on this visit that I noticed. Or maybe they just got so dismal they painted them. More likely they haven't put any money into upkeep, and the walls are just sooty with age. Chairs need to be replaced too. Everything felt run down, from the building to the dancers.
