I had a crappy time here...

I had a crappy time here on a Monday night. There were probably 15 dancers, a few of whom were very attractive. And, they had a crowd - so kudos to the Hollywood team on somewhat filling a bar on a Monday in Connecticut.

I walk in, and there is no bouncer. I kind of mill around for 30 seconds near the podium, but not having been here in a year, I figured I would move on to the bar. Where, I was met by a disgruntled bouncer who wanted $5 and my ID to run through some sort of machine. No problem. The bartender was overwhelmed, and for whatever reason some dancer kept catching my eye while she was working another patron. Eventually, she broke free and came over. I think she thought she mistakenly recognized me, given the tone of her hello, but who knows. Anyway, she latched on hard, and started to explain the myriad of rules that they have here at Hollywood and how those rules make it tough for her to make money. Blah blah blah.

So, off for two table dances, instead of a lap dance because of one of the Hollywood rules. $30 later, and completely unsatisfied, we hit the lap dance area behind an opaque curtain - which is constantly surveiled by the bouncer. It was brutally unsatisfying despite the dancer's roaming ability to arouse my desire. So, after a few of those $30 dances, I gave up and went to the stage. She clearly could have done well in another, slightly more private, environment - and I would have been hooked on this place.
