Went to Brandi's last night and wasn't as impressed as on previous visits. For one thing it was dead at about 815, with more staff than patrons, and the first dancer didn't hit the stage until after 830. They need to schedule their staff better too, because when I left the crowd had grown but there were 4 waitresses, 3 massage girls and about 20 private dancers for all of about 40 customers. Also, the music was god awful -- not just the songs the dancers used but the songs between sets were of the euro-techno-rave-crap style that too many of the dancers seem to like. I suppose that might make sense on a weekend if the "civilian" dance floor was in use, but with three loud, annoying tourists excepted (who got escorted out long after I would have tossed their asses) the crowd was mostly in the 35+ age range.

On the plus side of things 4 of the 5 stage dancers were all very good at their jobs, the house dancers were mostly in the 7-9 range and this is still the only strip club I've ever been to that serves Guinness on tap. That alone bumps the rating up a point.

I got one private dance from one of the stage dancers, Leah, a very beautiful & very sexy short curvy brunette; just my type and she did better than the Brandi's standard "Hi, How are you? What's your name? Wannadance?" Contact was a little bit better than the accidental/incidental I'm used to at Brandi's, but not a whole lot. Still, it was pretty damn good for a largely air dance. Leah mentioned that she used to dance at the Paramount in New Westminster, maybe that's why her dance was better than the usual for Brandi's as the former club's lap dances have improved dramatically in the last couple of years.
