I found myself at St. James after an overall lack-luster experience at Houston Dolls down the road. Wow, what a difference a few blocks makes!!

Super easy to find as it glows bright neon from the side of the road and looks like a country club, with brick walls surrounding the parking lot.

I arrived around 9:30pm on a Wednesday night. The cover was $15 to get in, which is pretty high, but not a deal breaker. When you walk in , at least for me, I was pretty impressed by the layout and overall "largeness" of the club. It's pretty open and expansive, the main stage has two sets of stairs that lead from the second floor down to the stage. There are balconies overlooking the main floor, a bar on either side of the main floor, and the main floor has plenty of high-back chairs that are very comfortable.
