Wow! My first Portland experience. So take it into consideration. This place was by our hotel so my buddies an I went to check it out. We had to go by some shady street guys outside the club, and when one of my buddies went out to smoke a cigarette he was propositioned to buy some crack and cocaine. Things weren't too shady inside the club, but the only reason why I gave the club atmosphere as high of a rating is due to it being an old sailor's pub.
There were only 3 dancers working, and one was about an 7 and the other 2 were sixes. The 7 came by and was sweet, friendly, and even witty. We did not take her up on her offer for a dance, mostly because we were still heebed out from the drug pushers outside. It enhanced the whole ghetto trashy vibe, and one of the dancers had a lot of ink, artfully well done I may add. I'm not into ink.
All in all it was an ok visit because it gave a good taste for dive bar action in Portland. The bathroom was plastered with graffiti and the whole place was small. Many of the patrons were seriously creepy pl customers. If this place is close I recommend going because they had some nice beers to choose from on tap! Otherwise if u have high expectations then don't go out of your way to be disappointed. Can't tell u about the dances or the mileage, because we didn't get any. I can say there were some awkward pauses in between songs. The dancers have to plug in the jukebox and they can spend up to a minute deciding which song to play for their next stage dance. I've never been to a creepier place where the silence was deafening with a bunch of pathetic losers looking around and trying to get the attention of the few dancers. This place is not a well oiled machine, more like a rusty trap.
