Made a trip to one of the old faithful strip clubs in Broward county - The Porthole Pub. I will not waste the reader's time with club layout as it has been chronicled in previous reviews. This was a Saturday night around 1AM when I entered the club. I have been to the Porthole many times in the past and it is usually good for a fun time for any patron with tempered expectations. The staff of girls usually ranges from 3's to 7's with a rare 8 or 9 mixed in. For some reason the club tends to hang on to some of the dancers that should be retired. On most nights, it is not such a problem when there enough good looking dancers mixed in. This night was not the case - to my recollection I can only remember seeing three decent looking dancers - the rest were rough and when I say rough - I mean rough. For a night time crew - this was the worst I have seen in South Florida in a while. I left after about 30 minutes when the third ugly dancer went up to the stage in a row - just couldn't take it any more. Not sure if this club has gone through some changes lately or it was just a bad night for them. As far as recommendations - I would say I have had good times in this club in the past - I am willing to give it another shot on another night but at some point this club has to take a look at the quality of their staff and make changes. I can't imagine them being successful with a crew like I experienced on this night.
