I've been to the Porthole a...

I've been to the Porthole a few times and while that's nothing to be proud of, I actually had a great time on several fairly recent visits. The Porthole is a seedy dive bar with a stage and a mixed bag of dancers. Most times, I've visited it's been due to the fact that they're open later than the other clubs.

The club is located on one end of a stripmall. The parking lot is well lit and overall feels safe. I forget the exact amount, but I believe the door guy charges a few bucks for parking. Considering the Porthole Pub is not the Bellagio, it seems like a good idea to have someone watching over the lot. The door guy or maybe just a cart vendor, sells hot dogs around closing time.

The cover is $10 I think which sucks considering the place is a shabby 3rd rate strip joint. When you enter, you can see the whole club -- it's a one room bar basically. The bar area is a square with a small stage just off one end. There is some furniture seating to the side of the stage, maybe that's the VIP area (LOL). On the other side of the stage beyond a row of small cocktail tables/chairs is a row of private dance booths, and the bathrooms. The bathroom is tiny and not pleasant, but don't worry they still manage to cram an attendant inside.
