I was visiting from Houston, which is known for its strip clubs. After visiting 3 clubs in the Detroit area, I have to admit that Detroit clubs have Houston clubs beat. The 3 clubs I visited were all owned by Alan Markovitz of the reality series "Topless Prophet" recently shown on Cinemax. They are all very similar, but the Penthouse club is the best of the 3. I provide more detail in reviews of the the Penthouse club and the the Flight Club.

The setup of all 3 clubs is somewhat similar. The Coliseum is somewhat bigger than the other two. There is a long bar on one side wall that extends about halfway through the main room. The main room has one big long stage, and 3 satellite stages that were elevated nearer the walls. There were a row of tables on one side of the main stage with very uncomfortable low chairs. I paid an extra $20 to the bouncer to get a booth. There were two rows of booths on either side of the main stage, maybe about 30 in all. Unlike the other clubs, most of the VIP booths are in the rear of the club. There didn't seem to be as many VIP rooms here as the other clubs. They are also much smaller and well lighted, so not quite as private feeling. There were some larger corner booths as well. Upstairs there is another bar and a smaller VIP section.

The cost structure is the same as the other clubs. I actually got in just as the afternoon shift was ending, so there was no cover. Evening the cover is $10. There is always a mandatory $7 valet parking. Beer in the afternoon shift was cheap, at only $3 a bottle. At night the price went up to $6 a bottle, still cheaper than the Houston clubs. Wine prices were about half the Houston club prices for the same bottle.
