My wife and I were on vacation at the Sonesta Maho resort last week in Saint Maarten and this place is literally a golfball throw in distance from the entrance to our resort so all week long we were intrigued. The resort is open everyday from 10pm - 5am but unfortunately for us we had been drinking all week during the day and never could make it out late enough to give this place a visit. On the second to final day we finally paced ourselves all day and headed over there around 11pm. My wife was really lit up and ready to give me a private dance once we got in there in front of everyone, but after walking in and seeing a gaggle of attractive strippers with no one to dance for I told her it would be insulting to take away from their potential work. This place was stacked with beautiful women and there were only like 10 guys in there total, many who were from our resort. This is the slow season for St Maarten because of hurricanes, weather etc but I was impressed by how many women were on staff. They let me wife in for free and charged me $10 for cover which included a drink.

My wife and I took up in a corner and watched for a bit to get the lay of the land, the girls rotation on stage is somewhat awkward from the States clubs I am use to. The girls start at the back near the bar that no one has access to when they begin their dance. If you were looking at the face of the clock they start out at 5 oclock, then they slowly work themselves around Counter Clockwise from pole to pole but no one has access to them to tip until about 9:40. So by the time they reach the area of the stage where people can sit and tip them the song has like 30 seconds left and is over. Then during the second song set where in normal clubs they go to a smaller dance stage that everyone can huddle around, the second stage is actually inside the bar area which is also inaccessible to tippers. These girls have like a 30 second window to even be tipped on stage in both song sets total so it's a very poor layout for them, however I guess for gawkers who want to watch and not spend money it benefits them.

As far as private dances, I had already picked out my girl seconds after arriving a beautiful blonde Columbian with amazing curves who later introduced herself as Pamela. She didn't speak a lick of English which somehow only made it hotter. All I could do was point to my wife and myself say Cuarenta because I knew that couples private dances were $40 and singles were $30. She smiled introduced herself and walked us in and sat us in a location. A man stopped in and said she is going to wait until the next song to start her dance because he knew she wouldn't be able to tell us that with the language barrier. She started in on the next song and was very playful with my wife. I am use to this because its the standard for a lot of strip clubs when a pretty girl comes in with you, but she literally had her hands up my wife's dress and was fingering her 40secs into the song. I helped the process and pulled up my wifes dress to her chest and just enjoyed the show and dance. She moved from lap to lap but obviously recognized what I enjoyed the most so returned to that behavior again with my wife before the end of the song.
