I visited Heavenly Bodies twice over...
I visited Heavenly Bodies twice over the course of the summer. A stripper friend was working there and asked me to come in and see her, which I never did because of her constantly changing her schedule. Going in, I knew this club sucked just by word of mouth, but I was willing to give it a try. Heavenly Bodies is located northwest of O’Hare Airport in a safe area, Elk Grove Village.
My first visit was on a Saturday night. I was not wearing my usual two-piece suit. I was dressed down, wearing a t-shirt and Adidas soccer pants since I just wanted to relax and be comfortable after a hard week of work. When I got in the door, I was kicked out because I was not compliant with the dress code. Apparently, pants like I was wearing were not allowed. Apparently, athletic shorts are also not allowed. I was pissed because there was no mention of a dress code on their website. Plus, the inside did not look like it was a classy establishment or anything. The parking lot was gravel with PL’s urinating between cars.
My second visit was a few weeks later on a Wednesday evening. I wore jeans and a t-shirt and got in this time. The cover charge was $10 and bottles of beer were $1.50. While the beer is cheap, the high cover negates the value. There was one dancer on the center stage at a time. All of the dancers kept their tops and bottoms on. Although there were two dozen guys in the place, nobody tipped the dancers on stage. A lot of the dancers seemed to just sit with their regulars for long periods. The songs here seemed to be cut short. There was some free food under a heat lamp that had been sitting there the entire time I was at Heavenly Bodies. I think you can also order hamburgers and sandwiches.
