Nana Plaza isn't a single bar...

Nana Plaza isn't a single bar but a large complex of them, a three story building surrounding a courtyard with a walkway along the courtyard on each story. The bars all open to this walkway. I believe the building was once a shopping center in the distant past.

There are Multiple bars, some large some much smaller. And a hotel (with hourly rates) and a salon, and probably a couple other businesses I've never taken notice of.

All of the bars are gogo bars, dancers on stage wearing a bikini or less, generally available to leave the bar with you for private entertainment.

Several of the bars have dancers transvestites (ladyboys), I believe these bars are all on the back (furthest from the entrance) on the 2nd and 3rd floors. And I've never seen a mixed bar, with ladies and lady boys. The bars seem to generally be all one way or the other.

The don't really do lap dances. Some of the bars it's easy to get a lady to sit on your lap and grind on you, in an American lap dance kinda fashion, but only sort of. Often you can let your hands wander, always seems to be up to the dancer how far she'll go in the bar. It usually helps if you buy them a lady drink (generally 200-300 Baht) (I've never seen or had a BJ or FS in a bar at Nana Plaza, but I wouldn't be too surprised if it happened to you). None of the bars that I'm aware of have private areas in the bar, but there's the hotel in the corner, hourly rates, lots of room (very small rooms), condoms sold at the front desk.
