Flashdancers is on Broadway north of Times Square. As a tourist, I had seen all the ads for this club on the yellow cabs, and since I was passing by, I stopped in.

The club does not charge for admission in the afternoon. I was carrying a couple bags of souvenirs I had purchased, and I was told I had to check my bags. The girl tried to charge me $3 for each bag. I said no thanks and started to leave. She then said the total would be $3. I hate to be nickel and dimed.

I ordered a beer, which turned out to be $11, a high price even for a strip club, but since it was happy hour they gave me 2 beers.
