I went to Jaguars on a Thursday night around 10:00-10:30 with a couple of friends. There was a very friendly lady up front who checked our IDs and broke our $20 bills into singles. We didn't take advantage of the establishment's BYOB policy, but plenty of regulars were bringing in 24 packs of domestic beers. Right off the bat, you're not off to a horrible start, especially considering the club's inflated drink prices.

After you pass through the front section, you're right on the floor. There are three stages; a large main stage and two smaller stages parallel to it. The smaller stages are in front of the private lap dance area and you will find quite a few groups of revelers posted up in that area. The bar is parked way in the back, but you shouldn't really have to worry about going up to the bar yourself since there's an ample amount of female servers walking the floor at all times. Three big screen TVs are mounted on a wall behind the main stage (which I kind of find insulting, but what do I know) and there are a few VIP booths available. It is smoker friendly, so you won't have a problem finding an ashtray and matchbook at any table. There is a cigarette vending machine located near the DJ, but I have a problem paying more than $7 for a pack of smokes. A pack of Marlboro Lights for $11? Nuh-uh. The volume is a little jarring at first, but I've never left with a ringing in my ear. All in all, it's not a terrible layout, so you won't feel crowded unless you go during peak hours. There is usually a short break in the action after about an hour or so when the servers clean the poles.

There were at least eight dancers when I was there. You'll find a decent mix of all ethnicities at Jag's and most of the girls are very attractive and obviously take care of themselves for the shows. Obviously, this is a small West Texas oil town, so don't expect Vegas when you arrive. Most of the floor shows aren't that impressive, but every now and again there would be a dancer that surprised me with their pole technique. To be clear, this is a topless venue, so don't expect the dancers to bare any more than that. The ladies usually don't work a mean hustle unless the night is really slow or you're one of the maybe ten or twelve enthusiasts left at 3:00 A.M. If there is a lull in the night, many of the dancers are happy to just hang out at your table with you. Sure, they might be able to talk you into buying a private dance, but the few who have won me over with this technique have proven to be worth the slightly inflated cost of $40 for a private dance. It's only a topless dance, but the dancer I was with was happy to stay with me for about four and a half songs. She was a very sweet and talkative woman and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. If you're at Jag's on a good night, you'll probably spend more money than you want, but some nights it will be worth it.
