Went Friday evening 6:30-9.

Was passing through Easten and since most reviews talk about regulars thought I’d give a non-regular’s take. Spanky’s is a dive club serving mostly locals about 15 minutes away from Platinum Plus in Allentown. The bar is easy to find by GPS, and clearly labeled. Most of the parking is to the rear, you park yourself. There was no cover nor any drink minimum.

After you pass through the entrance way getting patted down for weapons (?) you get to the central area. The central area only has seating around an L-Shaped bar, split into 2 stages with 2 poles for the vertical and 1 for the horizontal part of the L. When I was there the horizontal stage was being used for changing and easy access to accessories (like towels to wipe down the pole between dancers). The routine is girl gets on stage for 3 songs (I think 4 minutes each). They navigate between the two poles. First dance is dressed then they go topless. I didn’t see any girl flash vagina the entire time I was there. Dance style is sometimes sensual but unusually sort of light hearted and showy, the girls are obviously trying to have fun on stage and be entertaining switching between sensual, goofy and athletic moves. The pole is only 7’ but the danders do put in effort to use it and most can do some pole tricks.
