In the changing landscape of strip clubs in Houston, St James has become the top destination if you don’t mind driving 20 miles from the center of town. The far north side (past the beltway on 45N) can be a long drive at the wrong time (traffic) of the day. If you are already on the North side, call yourself lucky. I usually go the St. James late early evening during traffic times to avoid the traffic heading south which last from about 4PM to 6:30PM during the week. During those times the club is somewhat busy with a decent buffet that starts at 5PM. The quality of the dancers is highest on Thursday and Friday. Given that St. James is outside the city of Houston limits there are friendlier dance rules and higher level of privacy. In Houston the rules have changes that removed the pasties, but the “private” dances are out in the open which has caused the quality of the dances to drop considerably.

The dance quality at St James varies greatly by girl. There are 8 semi-private (three walls and no door) rooms downstairs and 9 upstairs. There are 2 VIP areas that require expensive memberships or high daily fee. I don’t visit enough for the VIP investment and the semi-private rooms are good for me with many of the girls.

Give the club a chance it is the best that Houston now has to offer.
