I went to the admiral theatre...
I went to the admiral theatre on a whim as I had just arrived in Chicago and would be starting a training course in the next few days. I took the train to get there and so rode the Brown line to the last stop and got off in a mixed Hispanic and Asian neighborhood. I felt perfectly safe as I walked the near mile to the theatre, I just stood out a bit.
After a twenty minute walk I arrived at the place. There was a bouncer outside and you go in and pay the cover at what looks like an old box office. When they say theatre they aren't kidding around, the place definitely used to be one. After paying cover you go in and are seated, there is always one dancer up on a HUGE main stage. Dancers are a mix of white and Asian and almost all are gorgeous, tAlent in this place was seriously off the charts and GREAT for a Tuesday night. I'd also say about half of the dancers are east European, which has its good and bad sides as we all know.
Waitresses were slow but given the low amount spent on drinks(no alcohol here) this is perhaps not a surprise. Girls come by a lot for dances and are good talkers for the most part. Some will do ten dollar dances out on the floor with minimal contact, but they tend to give an idea as to private room friendliness. Given dances in the private rooms are at a minimum of $75 for 3 songs you are encouraged to spend wisely.
