St. James is a nice up-scale...

St. James is a nice up-scale place. It's just outside the Houston beltway, which I've read means they can be a bit more lax about the rules. Went back a few times recently, once in the middle of the week, once on Friday. Had a great time both days, but the vibe was a bit different each time. Toward the weekend it tends to get overrun with bachelor parties and the like, as you might expect. In those situations I tend to look for a table in the back or upstairs. There are always plenty of girls on hand and they do a good job of walking around to these areas away from the stage, so you still get plenty of attention.

There is always a great mix of really hot girls on one hand, who are great to watch but usually have the high rollers all over them, and on the other hand some lower key but still beautiful girls who are very approachable. Through patience and looking for the right girl, I've gotten high mileage each time I've gone but yours may vary, as they say.

The club management also seems to be top notch, from what I can tell. Bouncers/doormen are very friendly but seem to do a good job of keeping control of the riff raff (there's a lot in Houston). Inside the club, the floor managers are friendly and accommodating. On my most recent trip the host/server who greeted me at the door sat me at a 4-seater table (I was by myself). As the night got busier a manager asked if I would move to a smaller table in return for a drink--whatever I wanted. Good deal if you ask me. The club management also doesn't seem to keep too close of an eye on the private dance areas. As I mentioned, I've gotten pretty high mileage there and while the dancers definitely kept a look out during the dances, I never saw the management/bouncers patrolling to keep people on their best behavior.
