I want to like the Wild...

I want to like the Wild Cherry Cabaret. I really do. The club is fairly nice on the inside and the giant screen TVs high on the wall behind the stage give it a unique (for Huntsville) feel. The chairs are comfortable and by and large you can have a pleasant conversation with the dancer of your choice. The lap dance areas upstairs along the long wall are partitioned enough to give you and your dancer a little bit of privacy. The three VIP areas on the far end of the balcony, while not enclosed private rooms, are arranged in a way that the entire club can pretty much be seen from them yet the rest of the club (at least the areas open to patrons - there are cameras mounted on the roof of the main room pointed at the VIP couches) can't see anything below the head or neck level of a patron sitting on one of the couches.<br>

So why can't I give this club an unreserved recommendation? Too much stripper drama that is allowed to be seen by the customers who can also get caught in the middle of it and too many promises made downstairs that go unfulfilled upstairs. If you aren't looking for extras and you see all of the drama as added entertainment value then this may be the club for you. I could probably give the Wild Cherry a little better endorsement if there wasn't such a lack of truth in advertising from some of the dancers regarding what you might expect in the VIP. Some will tell you right up front they are not going to stretch the rules at all. I have no problem with that. But some will tell you they don't have (m)any rules until you've paid the house ($75/15 min, $140/hh, etc.) and then they act surprised that someone is actually watching the monitors with the feed from the ceiling mounted cameras pointed at the VIP areas. Then they start the whole "I can't risk losing my job" thing and sometimes still get upset if you don't tip them what you agreed to when they agreed to do what they didn't deliver.
