Came here on a Wednesday night....
Came here on a Wednesday night. It looked slow, like maybe 5 customers in the entire place, with about an equal number of dancers. The club interior isn't bad, standard strip club, but clean. I'm told it went through a recent remodeling, and there are two stages. When I was there, only the main stage was in use, and the dancers seemed bored and unenthusiastic. (I would be too - no stage tipping action happening!) Typical stand 'n shake kinda club, no pole acrobatics, but who goes to strip clubs for that anyway?
I talked to some of the dancers and found it to be a thoroughly average club in most ways: $20/song lap dances, $6-7 drink prices, neon/strobe lights, blacklights, etc. Detroit law says lap dances are no-contact, but that's not the truth in practice. I'm told Bouzouki is the cleanest of all Detroit area clubs for the simple fact that the VIP area is open and the managers keep an eye on you. I went fairly early in the evening (8-9PM) so it was slow, but the dancers say it picks up later, especially on game days after the nearby Tigers game lets out.
The girls are, well, pretty average for most strip clubs. No real stunners (though I may have been spoiled by the high end clubs in Atlanta) but some of them were pretty. None of these girls were ugly, so it's good to see the club has standards for hiring. No grossly overweight/obese girls, at the very least!
