It had been a year or more since I'd been to Temptations and I quickly remembered why. As I approached the entrance a very drunk 35ish guy approached me with his hand out. I thought he was panhandling so just kept walking. He grabbed my arm and said I need you to be my friend. A doorman stood there watching and I asked the dude, "why do you need a friend?" He said because these guys (head gesture - alcohol breath) want to beat me up cuz I'm white. There were 5 or 6 young men of color standing behind the doorman. I said good luck and went in. No cover charge. I sat at the bar and ordered a coke and noticed that my "friend" followed me in. A dancer who knew the guy got him a water which he sipped standing at the end of the bar. I turned to look at the stage, heard a crash, and turned to see the guy had done a full face plant onto the floor.<br>

I moved to the stage and I was the only person there and as I started tipping I had the full attention of the dancer who was a 6 on a good day and this wasn't one of them. She was followed by an imitator of the Bride of Frankenstien, and several other dancers I'd rate as 3to 5's. Every one of them was covered with tattoos which doesn't normally bother me but these were not well done and some looked like prison tats. <br>

After an hour, frequently punctuated by an empty stage, I left. The gang of six still were guarding the entrance and while I didn't find them threatening, I can see where others might. The overall thug factor was about a 7.5 on a scale of 10
