I visited Sinsaysionals on a Tuesday night a few weeks ago. I had dinner in Lanham and thought I’d check the place out afterward. The first thing to point out is that you could easily drive right by it and never know it is there. It’s in an industrial area at the far end of a strip of auto repair shops. There is no sign and you really can’t see it from the road. If you see the big car wash, that is where you turn in. There wasn’t much parking that I could see unless you park in the car wash area which by that time of night is closed. I could anticipate parking being an issue on a crowded night. I guess you could park on one of the nearby side streets (which I’m sure the local residents frown on). I should point out that I’m white and I was the only white patron or dancer. Everyone else was AA. I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. The club does not have a liquor license. $3 bottled water and $2 sodas are available.
I arrived about 9:20. I was patted down outside and walked in and paid my $10 cover. I later learned that the cover is $20 after 9:30. Glad I got there when I did. After you pay the cover you enter the club through the swinging the doors and the VIP area is immediately on your right. You walk a little bit farther past VIP and you hit the main room which is a great big rectangle. The building appears to have been a warehouse in a past life given the super high ceilings and the no longer in use roll-up garage door. There are plenty of chairs but no tables. The stage is in front of you as you walk in. It’s along one of the long walls. The stage itself doesn’t appear to be big enough for 2 dancers to be on it at the same time. There is no DJ or jukebox. And during the time I was there no dancers ever got on stage. The music appears to be coming from someone’s MP3 player. There is no pole on the stage although there is one in the VIP area. I sat down and listened to the music. I had been there close to 15 minutes and still hadn’t seen any other patrons or any dancers for that matter. I was just about to leave when a very attractive, darker skinned, AA lady (a 7+ in my book) came out. She was a little curvy which is OK with me. And she had nice, natural big boobs and only one tat (her zodiac sign). I was an easy target being the only patron. She came over and immediately started a lapdance. There was no chatting me up beforehand. Top and bottom on lapdances are $5 per song in the main room. This is a bargain compared to $20 for a top-on dance at Showcase. I stopped after 4 pretty good dances. Eventually another dancer appeared. She was lighter skinned and had a lot more tats than dancer #1. Normally I don’t mind tats, but hers were all over her ass cheeks which I just found weird. Her dance was less enthusiastic than #1’s. Plus she was wearing a one piece outfit. I could tell she wasn’t into it so I stopped after one song. But for $5 I wasn’t out too much money. Dancer #1 came back by after a while. This time we went to VIP. Dancer #2 had tried to upsell me on VIP and I declined. However I do give her credit for accurately describing the payment schedule for VIP (see below). I also give her credit for at least asking me in advance if I wanted a dance. Even if it was only “Want a dance?” I guess on a night with a small crowd they forego chit-chat and cut right to the chase or else they won’t make any money.
There is also the option of the VIP area. The entrance fee for VIP topless is $20. Beware of the trick here. The sign says it’s $10. In reality it’s $20. The entrance fee is charged $10 for yourself and $10 for the dancer. You pay at a window in the VIP area. Topless dances are $10 per song. This is a bargain compared to $30 per song at Showcase for a topless dance that is basically out in the open. You also have the option of a fully nude dance for$20 per song plus the per person entrance fee which I believe is $20 each. That area is behind the topless area. I had limited funds so I didn’t partake of this area. Dancer #1’s topless dances were just as good in VIP as hers were in the main area. I got a face full of titty. And she played around outside of my pants. There were no “extras”. I stopped after four songs and called it a night. I think I was there for a little over an hour. By the time I left, I counted 6 patrons and 4 dancers. Since it’s a no alcohol club they can stay open later so maybe it gets busy later or maybe this is a typical weeknight, I don’t know.
