Tropical isn't a strip club, it's a brothel. It's owned by the same people that own Hong Kong and Las Chavelas, but is across the street from the other two and has its own (cheaper) hotel. It operates on the same model as the other Zona Norte clubs, except without any pretense of stripping. Instead, there is a dance floor where you can dance with the girls, most of whom seem to be on their phones texting if they don't have a customer.<br>

The girls themselves are hit or miss. Tropical seems to be a trainer club (or demotion) for Hong Kong, so girls FOB will work there alongside older, fatter veterans who aren't up to HK's standards. So there are diamonds in the rough. The prices are lower here, and they offer 2-for-1 beers, so sitting down with a girl to negotiate the session isn't as expensive. The girls can generally be had for anywhere from $40-60, depending on your negotiating skills.<br>

It's not the nicest bar, but the waiters seem to go out of their way to make you happy, and it's inexpensive and more relaxed than HK or Adelita's. Worth checking in to see if there are any hotties or just to take a break.
