I had a friend in town...
I had a friend in town who just broke up with his girlfriend, and he wanted to go to a bunch of strip clubs. So we ended up doing a tour of pretty much every club in the San Diego area (see my other reviews from this time period). The first night we hit up the clubs in the Point Loma area, and the Body Shop was our first stop.
The club is located pretty much right off I-5. The neighborhood isn't the greatest and is pretty much a huge stretch of strip mallish businesses. Entrance fee was $20, which gets you 2 non-alcoholic drinks inside and a pass that knocks it off to $10 on your subsequent visits. The interior wasn't much in terms of glamor or glitz. As you enter, there's a small bar at one end of the room (non-alcoholic drinks only because it's all-nude), several pool tables at the other end, and a large stage with poles in the middle. We actually joked that the place looked like a former pool hall as the chairs/tables resembled the kind you'd find in a pool hall or bowling alley.
This night was pretty slow as we only saw 6-8 girls during the time we were there, which we felt was pretty low for a Thursday night around 9PM. Quality of girls was average in our opinion (all 5-6's), and the stage show was pretty tame as it was the standard posing without much tricks. The girls asked for a dollar tip after their stage show as is standard in San Diego. All of the girls on shift that night were ethnic (black or Hispanic) so there wasn't much variety if you wanted something else (white or Asian). My friend got a regular lap dance from a short Hispanic girl and said it was mostly air, and we left pretty much after that.
