I visited Capital Cabaret on a Sunday evening - the Sunday before Memorial Day. I expected the club to be completely dead, but there were actually a few other customers and at least two couples there. The parking lot is clean, well-lit, and despite being surrounded by more industrial business I didn't feel at all unsafe. It felt more like finding a hidden gem that only the cognoscenti are ever aware of. Valet parking was available, but I didn't use it simply because I like to park my car in the remotest corner of the lot I'm comfortable with.
Entering the club is through a very small foyer area, just after the second door the check-in desk is on the left. Cover was $10 that night, and the lady behind the counter was friendly enough, but seemed busy with bookkeeping or something so I didn't bother her too much. After paying the cover charge, you walk down a hallway and take a right into the main floor area. At that right turn is a stairwell to the upstairs area - more on that later.
The main club is a decent sized area. Moderate sized two-level stage, the tables are far enough apart that you can walk between them, though not two abreast. Comfortable chairs, all with good views of the stage. If you want a close-up view you can sit around the railing around the lower stage, the girl will come down and dance right in front of you. No going to a single stairwell to get a personal stage dance, just find an available seat stageside.
