I've been to D's only twice,...
I've been to D's only twice, despite living around the corner from it for several years. It's true what they say about the girls - they are just gorgeous to look at, but for some reason looking is just about all I ever get a chance to do here. The dollar parade I'm used to seeing is either non existent or at least greatly reduced in regularity. Indeed, the girls don't really seem to be interested in mingling with guests at all. Before you make any assumptions about me, let me state for the record that I never have any trouble attracting attention at my other haunts - I am always reasonably well groomed and well dressed when I go to a club, so I don't think they're getting any red flags.
This most recent trip I decided to be a bit more outgoing. Where before I sat by the bar, this time I sat in one of the low chairs by the side of the main stage. The close proximity is a welcome change from the more common Philly arrangement of the stage wrapped around by the bar. I took the opportunity to liberally tip the dancers who approached. They will basically pause the dance, move in close and shake their ass toward you, waiting for you to slip a bill in their g-string. Like I said, it's a nice way to get close to the stage dancer for a bit, but either I needed to upgrade beyond 5's or they aren't inclined to spend much time on one customer.
When I wasn't stuffing bills I was sitting solo, and I didn't have much patience for that when more friendly clubs are just down the road. I left Delilah's around 8 pm. Possibly of interest, someone had put some beer bottles behind both rear tires of my car. They exploded as I backed up, scaring the crap out of me. I don't think I'll be returning to that spot any time soon - wouldn't want to have to experience any more mischief like that if I'm not even having a good time.
