Stopped by the Ritz on a Wednesday evening, as I had a couple of hours to burn before heading to Hobby Airport. Nice place on the inside, pretty big main room with two stages and what looked to be a sports bar in the back, though I didn’t venture back there.
This place was pretty dead, I think I counted about 4 other patrons there for the hour or so I was there. Even though I was seated at a table between the main bar and the main stage, it still took forever for a waitress to notice me so I could order a beer ($5). There were a decent number of dancers, probably 12 total ranging from 4-7 with maybe one 8.
Speaking of the 8, when she got on to the main stage to do her 2 songs, I decided it was time to tip at the stage. I stood at the edge of the stage for a good 20 or so seconds, and either she didn’t see me (which would have been pretty much impossible) or she did and decided to ignore me, which is basically what the waitress came over and told me after watching this go down. Maybe she was too busy waiting for one of the other 3 guys there to tip her. Never had that happen to me before… what the hell? I took that as a sign, finished my beer and left.
