Haven't been here in a long...

Haven't been here in a long time, except to drop in and be stunned at the lame-osity of the prospects. Generally there are eight or ten regular-looking customers (as in, they are the club's "regulars"; not as in, they look like "regular guys" since they generally look like hicks) and five or six women dancing, most at below-average to abysmal levels of appearance. The dancers here consistently run from a few (very few) 8s right down to 1s. Anyway, the point of this particular review is to inform of an unrelated episode. Here's a story I heard from my brother's cousin's nephew. A purse was stolen from the building in which I work (downtown, typical office building; an office was unoccupied and a bystander committed a minor crime of opportunity) and Danny's honored the stolen credit cards. Of course, the purse owner will not be liable for the purchases, she was smart enough to cancel her cards immediately and eventually when all the forms are filled out, Danny's management and/or dancers and/or Visa/MC/AE will be out a few bucks. But in the meanwhile, it's interesting to know that when Danny's runs those credit cards through the supposed electronic-looking machine, they aren't doing anything. The purchases were made about six hours after the cards had been cancelled, so the electronic hook-up would have denied the transactions. Danny's mgmt was happy to cheat, probably knowing they were cheating their dancers. Sad but true. I go to Babe's.
