Been dropping by the dirty red bird pretty frequently b/c of business up in horizon area. Arrived about 8 pm to a pretty desolate house. Not anywhere near as busy as back in the glory days when every day was jammed packed in there. Layout has been explained ad nauseum already so I'll skip to the ugly, the bad, and the good (in that order). The ugly: a couple of the dancers (long timers) way past their prime and ideal weight; some ganster-wannabes smoking horrendously smelling cheap cigars; and no interaction from the decent dancers there. The bad: full cover charge, ive been there where they knock off 5$ or so when the place is empty; the drink prices went up; they're doing that shitty $ and change for a drink (e.g., a beer is $5.75) and the waitresses dont give u the coin change back, so they're tipping themselves.. I always give good tips, but the practice irks me; and finally, seriously Darius, u need to put an age limit on these girls.. The good: i was about to leave and J*** makes an appearance. Always busy with her regulars, i had never been able to get her. Got my chance and im hooked. Extremely sweet lady, funny, smart. Didnt push for a dance, but i summoned her up to VIP ($20 fee; which also irks me! If it is dead, lower or waive this!). First dance was standard, then second and third songs got Ms J to introduce herself to El Guapo from down under and she treated him right. She didnt ask for more than the dance price, but i tipped her handsomely. Left happy.
