Being a frequent visitor to strip clubs as I travel it is a real shame that my local clubs have terrible laws they need to abide by or else they would be so much better. I have been to all 3 clubs here in Calgary and it is mostly the same story, awesome atmosphere with large stages and good crowds on the weekends, but it is nothing more than a stage show. Yes the clubs have all adapted a "VIP" area but it really is just an area for you to have a 1 on 1 show, not a lap dance. There is no contact between dancer and customer allowed, with dances being in the range of $90 for 15 minutes. Just absurd and not worth it.

What do make the clubs fun though is the main area in which drinks are reasonably priced, the pool tables are free, and every now and then you get a beautiful completely naked woman on stage you can throw loonies at to win posters and magnets. If you are the type who enjoys the contact side of strip clubs sadly you need to try another Province, but if you just want to hang out with friends, have some drinks, and see some naked girls this is the place to be.
