Sometimes you go into a club...

Sometimes you go into a club and all the ingredients are right, and yet the result is strangely disappointing. This, sadly, was my experience of Medusa. The club looks impressive. The staff are polite, the dancers are all of a very high standard in the looks department, the place was bustling, it was expensive but not overly so...

...and yet after an hour or so I was fed up with the place and left.

I suspect that the secret ingredient that was lacking was personality. Some of my best experiences were with girls who would spend a bit of time with you, chatting about this and that, before giving a dance that (bit it part of an illusion of not) seemed tailored to you. There was none of that here. No one was rude, it was not particularly pushy, but the impression that you were one of many customers and didn't matter in the slightest dominated. This was nowhere near as bad as the Soviet style "You dance now" atmosphere you get in some clubs, which have filled their floors with the sort of Eastern Europeans high on beauty but low on English skills. No, Medusa was just too cold and corporate. If the banks decided to diversify into strip clubs, Medusa is what you'd get.
