This was my first time at Hurricane Betty's. Unfortunately, the strip club scene is not good in Worcester and from what I heard this was supposed to be the "best of the worst." I should preface this review by saying that my wife and I had been to Sapphire in Las Vegas a few months ago, and it's really not fair to compare the two clubs. They are two totally different animals, so I'll try to avoid direct comparisons. Usually my wife comes with me to strip clubs, but she was out of town this weekend. She encouraged me to "check it out" and see if it was worth the two of us going in the future.

I got there around 10pm on a Saturday, and there were 20 or so patrons there and around 10-12 dancers working. As the night went on, more customers arrived. I think a big draw to this place is that they are open until 2am whereas some other places in Worcester (Rt. 20 clubs) close earlier. The parking is across the side street, but I really did find it odd like some other reviewers. There was plenty of parking, and even though Betty's isn't in a great neighborhood, it didn't seem dangerous to me.

I paid the $5 cover, which is quite reasonable. Went up to the bar on the right upon entering and paid $5 for a domestic beer. Again, not bad. I took as seat at the sunken stage, which I DID find a bit odd. When the dancers were standing, the view was decent but when they crawled on the floor I had to look down a few feet to see what they were doing. The place is pretty small, with a bar, small stage, and a semi-private lap dance area. Most of the crowd was college aged men, with a few couples and older gentlemen in the mix. There were two women customers in their early 20s who were out in the crowd being totally obnoxious. They were putting on their own show without any dancers, and were totally distracting the other customers. One of the bouncers looked over a few times and shook his head, but never said anything to them.
