I hadn't been here in a while, so I took the opportunity to visit last Friday afternoon. Since I see nobody has done a detailed review lately I'll start with that. As you walk in the door there is a stairway directly in front of you. That is to the upstairs, which is closed daytime but opens at 7PM for the night shift. I haven't been up there in years being a daytime guy, but as I recall the upstairs consists of a long wide hallway with tables along one wall facing the postage stamp sized stage in the corner of the room the hallway leads to. There are about 4 more tables in this room, plus a small bar with a few seats. Back to where you are standing, just inside the doorway, the main floor is to your left. Watch the slope down into the main room from the entrance. As you enter the main room there are two small stages on the opposite wall with the requisite mirrors and brass poles. To your left are half a dozen bar height tables with stools. To your right arte some regular tables and chairs directly opposite the stages. These are the better seats IMO. Further toward the back on the right as you enter is a bar with a few stools and a few more tables with stools. At the very back of the club is a hallway to the first floor restrooms. They have recently remodeled the restrooms. This seems like a small thing, but it has needed it for about 10 years. The mens room has a new toilet, a door that locks, new tile, and feels a lot cleaner when you go in. As for the look of the rest of the club, just about every stool and chair needs re-upolstered, the carpet also needs to be either steamed or replaced. On my visit there were 8 dancers working. Most were 7 or up with a 5 or two thrown in, and one 9 (Heather). The dancers here to 10 minute stage sets and then circulate for tips. The stage tipping is getting a lot more intimate here. Not quite Royal Palace where you get nude floor work in front of you, but you can count on some contact (not too intimate contact) right at the stage as you tip. Tips are slipped into the garter. The dancers do some floor work here with bottoms on only, so they usually are topless within seconds of the start of their set, nude by the second song, and then may put the bottoms back on for some floor work just before the end of their set. Tipping is low pressure, and it doesn't take a lot of tipping to get noticed and get some attention. After their set the dancers will circulate for tips (a lot of customers never approach the stage here). If you want some company just offer to buy the dancer a drink. Dancer drinks are the same as customers, about $8 on average (no $20 cranberry and ginger ale). Buying a drink usually gets you some company, maybe some light contact, and if you tip a bit for her time probably a bit more contact and a better stage show next time you tip. As always YMMV. While the discussion seems to be swinging against a comeback I will note one thing. They are getting a lot better about not having the anti-strippers on stage (here's a tip, please put your clothes back on). The day shift, which used to rival the night and GoodGuys is a pretty down time here now. The atmosphere, which used to be very friendly and up, but still laid back is now just laid back, as if nobody cares. They need a few good day girls, a little more re-decorating, and another hot waitress like Joanne (who basically carried the day shift here for years) to start climbing back to parity with GoodGuys. On a good day it's still worth a beer or two. On a bad day cut your losses after a drink and go, 'cause it is now a very unreliable club.
