I decided to kick in the New Year with a visit to Dreamgirls at Rick's. First sign that it was going to be a busy night at the club was when I pulled into the parking lot and had trouble finding a spot that was close. I entered the club and paid the $20 cover and fee for bottomless drinks. The benches where I like to sit were taken up, so I sat at one of the tables on the far side of the club away from the entrance. It wasn't too bad, as I was able to see both stages and the comings and goings of the dancers.

Heather was back at the club after short absence. I didn't get any dances from her but she recognized me and we caught up a little. She is arguably one of the few women there with the ability to carry a conversation. Reign (or Rain), Serenity, Gillette, and Giselle performed excellent stages as usual. I hung around and watched the stage action for a while before jumping in with two feet and spending quality time with a couple of the lovely ladies. Good times.

I should mention that there were a lot of newer dancers at the club that night who might have come from a club further up the road. There were also a lot of younger patrons, guys and girls, in the club who appeared to be visiting for the first time ever. Maybe that was why it was so packed for a while.
