I went to two downtown Seattle...
I went to two downtown Seattle clubs on Sunday night, December 29, 2013. Deja Vu was first. Dreamgirls was second. (See separate review for that trip.) They were the two that I usually avoid because I don't like going to downtown strip clubs (in any city). That's mainly due to traffic and parking difficulties, but I've found other weaknesses in downtown clubs, as well, over the years. However, I hadn't been to either of these two in a few years, and I had a different reason for going this time. The Seahawks played that Sunday afternoon. When they played on Monday night recently, both clubs had a lot of dancers on shift when I called both clubs 8 p.m. that night: Both clubs are close to the Seahawks stadium, CenturyLink Field. So, I was curious to see what an after-game crowd was like. If nothing else there was likely to be a good choice of eye candy. I was right.
With the Seahawks game having ended at 4:30, I arrived at Deja Vu about 7:30. I was thinking that any dancers who specifically came in for the after-game crowd would still be there in the early evening hours. That was a good arrival time to avoid the traffic and find free parking (on-street). Pay parking in the area seems to be around $12. for more than 30 minutes parking. There were 21 dancers on shift upon my arrival--33 by the time I left at 9:10. Very few customers, though. The "buy the lady a drink?" was a minimal hazard that night, even though several dancers stopped by my lap to ask for dances. The door girl was also the waitress and she didn't have much time to leave the front desk my first half hour there, until she was relieved by an actual waitress. The selection of dancers was very good. I thought they were a much better group of girls than the clubs I usually go to. I hadn't been to this club in a few years. I expected to recognize a few dancers from other area clubs, and that did happen. But, I knew of one particular dancer that was due to be on-shift that night. I had texted with her the day before to confirm. So, she was there and I would have liked to have gotten dances with several others--the few that I recognized and a few others. But I also had to save some "effort" for my second club outing of the night.
The usual lap dances at Deja Vu are $20. That's even in an area labeled, "VIP Lounge." It's in another room that also has a stage, which wasn't in use while I was there. I was surprised at how dark the area was, compared to the main floor of the rest of the club. My dancer took me to the furthest corner from the entrance, which is usually a good sign. However, even though she allowed two-way contact, it was all above the clothing. No really nothing special there. She explained that she goes topless in the actual booths that they have there, because they're more private. Those booths are priced by time, starting at $150./15 minutes. That's not my thing. I think this dancer is just very cautious about adhering to the club rules. She's never gotten into any trouble. So, I got just two dances with her, stayed a little longer to see if any new girls came in, and left at 9:10 p.m.
