I was staying in Downtown Austin...

I was staying in Downtown Austin for a couple days. I thought Expose was the only club close to me, but then I discovered the Palazio was not much further, so I decided to check it out. The Palazio is lightyears ahead of Expose in terms of quality regarding... pretty much everything. Ironically, one of the dancers told me both clubs are owned by the same person. Go figure. Palazio atmosphere was more of a nightclub, Vegas-esque feel. (Whereas Expose is more of a dive). Other reviews mention you can play poker, but I didn't bother with that. There was a decent amount of girls working. I got asked by a handful of girls if I wanted a dance. When I turned them down, they didn't pressure or hustle. The quality of girls was probably an average of 7. I tipped a couple girls on stage. I will say that $1 went a pretty long way both in duration and quality at the stage. One girl who I particularly liked looked like Lizzy Caplan (olive complexion, dark hair and dark features; I think she was Greek?). I tipped her more than once and asked her to come find me when she was done with the stages. In my experience, that almost NEVER works. But in this case, it did. She came and sat with me after the stages. We talked for a really long time. I was almost feeling guilty, because I had been down to instantly get a dance, but instead she was just yakking away. It was a great conversation, and she didn't seem to mind chatting instead of making money. After what felt like a really long time, probably actually about 30-45 minutes, she asked if I wanted a dance. I said yes. I got three. The dances were excellent. My only complaint has to do with the layout of the club. The dance was just against the back wall, so my friend who I was with could easily just stare at me from across the room. That is awkward to me. I hated that aspect, but the dance itself was great. Later there was this latin girl I really wanted to get a dance from, but she was always busy. I never got a dance, but I will say this. Her and another girl were giving this guy a dance at his table in the middle of the club at the end of the night. They were right by me. So, while I didn't get a dance, I did get a hot show of girl-on-girl-giving-a-dance action. It was a good view. The girl who looked like Lizzy came and chatted with me on her way out of the club. She was in civilian clothes at that point. I love seeing a dancer in civilian clothes. So, the biggest con to this club is the layout for where lapdances take place. Other than that, it's better than Expose by a long shot, which is the only other club I've been to in Austin. The girl who looked like Lizzy told me I should check out Yellow Rose next time, so I plan to do that, but I will definitely visit the Palazio again. I had a great experience overall.
