The first words out of my mouth once I have entered Mexico as are always the same, and are always directed at a cab driver. "Ad- el- lee- tah.....five dollares?" This phrase is always is met with a nod and a "yes" as I hop into the front seat, knowing I am a mere ten minutes away from Adelita Bar.

So, for as much convenience as anything, Adelita is always my first stop in the Zona Norte. And oftentimes, my last stop. When you push the heavy draperies that cover the entrance aside, you will be immediately hit with knowing and hopeful glances from a dozen very hot dancers. There are no fours in Adelita. Maybe a rare ten. Maybe a couple fives or sixes. But the majority fall within the seven to nine range.

All heights, shapes and sizes, in a nice variety of hair color. Most look Spanish, quite a few a bit Mexican, plenty who have adopted themselves extremely well to the American girl next door/American model facade. Hot American girls next door. Really hot American girls next door. The approach at Adelita is a bit more abrupt than at the other bigger American-targeted clubs. You will get approached immediately upon entrance and asked for a drink as the first dancer you meet smiles slyly and nuzzles against you. Drinks are around $5 for you, and $7-$9 for the senorita. Feel free to brush her off, or feel free to be inquisitive over a cocktail.
