I stopped in to Grand Daddy's...

I stopped in to Grand Daddy's for the first time while in Wausau on business. Walked in to a sparsely filled bar with no door person and headed to buy a drink. The bartender asked for ID, but didn't charge a cover. Paid for my reasonably priced drink and headed to the large stage with two poles where one of the night's dancers was performing. Took a seat and watched the nice show. Most of the girls were average looking and friendly on stage, but unfortunately after leaving the stage they all headed for their regulars at the bar. These were all guys who weren't paying any attention to the stage show, weren't tipping and weren't buying dances, except for one drunk fellow who seemed to be celebrating a birthday. There were a couple of dance specials advertised, but tipping at the stage was the only attention I found here. No one circulated beyond their barstool friends after their stage shift. There were maybe 5 or 6 girls on the shift, but they seemed much more interested in hanging out with friends than making any money. That was bad for them and good for my wallet, as all of my non-singles cash went home with me. If the girls spent a bit more time approaching new customers they might find that this club could be a lucrative location, as it really is a pretty nice facility for northern Wisconsin.
