The Private Dancer

Just south on highway 61 on the right side of the road is a small building which appears at first sigh a gentlemen's club but not so. Apparently it is just for dances. No bar, No music, and I would not expect this establishment to stay around long. On the door signs indicate both they are hiring and that the building is for sale. However locals indicate it has been open for at least five years.

To the right of the entrance and the will call window is the bill affair. So much for twenty minutes of dancing, forty minutes and eighty dollars for a complete hour. Not bad prices, but what you get, stay in your car and keep driving. I paid for fourth minutes even though I get bored after two or three songs normally. For twenty minutes all the girl did was twirl in a circle and bounce up and down in a bathing suit. No touching apparently. Even though I paid for fourth minutes I excused myself half way through and left.

The best I can describe it as is a barren small hovel broken into small cubicles for the private dances, if that is what you want to call it. The woman who came to the window to ask what I wanted was not to impressive. Not only because what other than private dances could they offer with no bar, but as the only individual representing a business for private dances I would think a splash of makeup or brushed hair would be a must.
