Well, so I find myself in San Fran and the various review forums tell me that (a) over on Broadway what you have is a DV near-monopoly and (b) I should really try one of the "theater" type strip joints. So for the sake of staying close to public transit my choice was the Crazy Horse (block and a half from the Powell St. BART stop -- OK, so it's interesting how in a span of barely two blocks a city like this can go from busy middle-class shopping district to please be careful not to step on the gee-I-hope-they're-just-sleeping bums on the ground, but as long as you *stay*on*Market*St.* it's cool as long as you keep your big-city wits up)

This place IS different from what many of us are used to in the rest of the country -- the "theater" set-up for instance, where the stage has a long runway down the middle of the room and you sit in theater seat rows arranged in a "U" facing the show; and the absence of even a juice bar with vending machines instead.
