This club has the same owners...
This club has the same owners as Southern Exposure, who own a number of clubs in West Virginia, so you would think they would know the basics of what they are doing, but I have seen no evidence of that. I admit that I went in on a Wednesday night, and they might do better on the weekends, but the vibe was just more depressing in here than anything. This wasn't my first time in since Elite opened, but I would say it was the worst.
When I arrived I rang the bell and the door was immediately opened (other time they were slow to get to the door). The bouncer asked me for ID and the $5 cover. The thing is, they only had 2 dancers that night, one was a feature dancer and one regular girl. In my opinion they could have waved the cover or at least warned me before I paid, but I didn't ask, so my bad. The DJ was running the bar, because the bar tender and all the other girls had called off. I only had soda, which was free, so there is the one plus for the club.
The feature dancer was nothing special to look at. Probably good looking in her younger days, but a good 10 years past her prime. She was decent at rhythmically dancing to the music, but didn't do any great pole tricks or stripping moves that made her any different from a regular girl. The other dancer was a decent looking black girl with a number of tattoos. As the only customer in the club, I would think she would talk to me, try to get me to buy a dance or something, but she really wanted nothing to do with me. Maybe just a bad night for her, being the only girl to show up for work that night, but still disappointing. The feature would dance two or three songs, then the regular would dance three songs, then five to ten songs would go by with no dancers at all. Two other customers came in while I was there, neither watched a full set from either of the dancers. I guess they were smarter than me.
