My first visit to a strip...
My first visit to a strip club ever so take it with a grain of salt. Before I got to the door, met one of the waitress and she was very friendly, introduced herself. $15 cover. After I entered, the waitress returned, sat next to me and gave me the rundown of all the house rules and prices. I ordered a drink, gave her a tip and she told me I had to put the tip in her cleavage. "Sweet" I figured, couldn't complain.
Dancer quality: There is a single stage and about a dozen guys or so in the room at that time (approx 2pm). Oh yea, the dancers: Most are girls next door type, but there were a few hot ones. I was approached by this girl who sat down and we chatted about random stuff. Sorry, I'm really bad at names. Since it was my first time, I figured I didn't need wait for her to ask, I'd go ahead and ask for a dance. $40 for a standard dance and I believe (depending on a girl), an extra $10-$20 will allow you to touch. Lapdances are topless only (unfortunately) but she was very good at it and we actually had an interesting conversation throughout the time she gave me a lapdance. Stage shows are fully nude and tipping well will definitely get you attention and appreciations.
Overall: I did my research on yelp and from what people were saying, I didn't have much expectations. In terms of mileage, I can't say because that was my first trip to a strip club. $90 laters, I left pretty satisfied with my experience and since it's the only strip club in San Jose, I'll definitely come back unless I'm in sunnyvale or SF. If you come without prior experience in SF or vegas or just keep an open mind, you should have a good time. If you're cheap and don't want to spend $80 minimum, you better off just not going. Keep in mind, 2 pitchers of beers at hooters costs about as much as a lapdance + cover. If you ask me, i'd take a lapdance and an interesting conversation over beer any day of the week. Hope that helps.
