This place was a 20m walk...
This place was a 20m walk from my hotel and I felt a little safer walking here than doing the 10m walk to the Block in Baltimore. I did take a cab back aftereward. Visited on a Tuesday night and was quite surprised at how crowded it was. I was told by one of the dancers that it was typical and that they primarily get tourists (old man conventioners - like me) during the week and it was quieter on the weekend.
Real odd thing about this place is the doormen, bouncers or hosts seem to be in charge of the girls. Just sitting alone at a table with the dancers walking by or standing around didn't seem to get any of them to stop on their own. A host comes by asks how things are going and when I said I wish their were more girls to go around, he goes and gets one for me. I saw this scenario play out with others. An odd thing early in the evening, I was talking with a dancer (who had been brought over and introduced to me by one of the hosts). Conversing for a bit, a host comes over and whispers to her, she excuses herself and goes over and gets introduced to another guy - excuse me? Another thing, and perhaps this was why she went somewhere else, none of the girls asked me if I wanted a dance, I seemed to have to ask them - I tried to lead on with a phrase like "what do we do now?" but would only get answer like, "What do you want to do?"
So, it is a nude club with alcohol (Yeah) and the private dances are nude too (Yeah) but there is a strict no touch policy (boo) - they get real close and it can be very inticing and sometimes intense, but no touching. Works somehow for a first couple of dances, but by the last few, just frustrating. Was rumored to be a little more lax in the VIP rooms upstairs, at $500 for an hour + a bottle, ah, 'No.' I didn't need to find out if that was true or not for that amount. Heard later that a half hour may have been possible too.
