This...
This was my first time at MCR. It looks posh even from the outside. There are spaces reserved for 'valet' parking all around the building. The inside is large, with two full bars, very high ceiling, a fancy catwalk for the girls to go down to get to the stage, lots of comfortable chairs and sort of intimate tables. There is the main dance stage and I think two satellite stages. It's topless only.
I got there about 4:30 after driving in bright sun. When I entered, I was nearly blind from the very low lighting and my transition glasses that didn't make the transition very well. You have to snake your way through almost a maze to get from the front desk back into the dance area. I nearly tripped over two girls who said, "bit dark in here eh?" I almost ran into a post and then had to feel my way around chairs to get to a table near the stage. Eventually my eyes adjusted, and I think they actually raised the lights a little. It's ridiculous to make it so tough to navigate.
As soon as I sat down, 'Amber' came over to sit and chat. She was not really my type (few too many pounds), but seemed nice enough and friendly. I tried to carry on a conversation, getting up periodically to tip at the stage. At one point she says, "You're kind of inquisitive, aren't you?" I'll have to admit that was a first for me. I said, "don't you want me to talk to you?" Really bit odd, I thought.
