I visited Pure Gold on a...

I visited Pure Gold on a Friday night when I had a few hours to kill before an early Saturday AM meeting. Drove past it the first time, and had to turn around. Valet Parking guy told me to change out of shorts as they required long pants in the club, and then I saw a bunch of people with shorts come in later. Handy that I had a pair of Levi's in the trunk. Sucks that I had to change for no reason. Bouncer wands you at the door, so not too worried about a dangerous element in the club. Cover was under $20, and the drinks were reasonable. Bottles of water were a few dollars each, and they didn't offer tap water.

The club lighting was pretty good, and I got there around 9:00 PM or so. Wait staff tell you where to sit, but since it was so early I really had my choice. Chairs and tables are set up kind of tight, but still enough room to get a tale side dance if you choose. I opted for the couch area for a couple of dances early on, and then they opened it up for the twofer special. 2 dances (short songs) for $40.00. The dancers were mainly white, but there were a couple of latinas, and 2 colored girls dancing as well. Dances were up close and personal which is fun, except for the dancers that smoked. It is a smoke-free club, so there was a line of people outside smoking when I left. They offer table side, couch room and a VIP area. VIP area was a couple of hundred which probably would have been worth it. There was a large enough selection of dancers to let you be choosy if you were spending money. There were some couples in and a couple of women watching the dancers, but no one was obnoxious when I was there. Overall a fun night for a couple hundred dollars.

I will definitely return to the club another time I spend the night close enough to make the trip.
