I used to be a roughly a monthly regular of the Ritz about 5 years ago before the City of Houston forced latex and booty shorts on the dancers. I have been going to St. James just north of the city limits to avoid the latex. Last Wednesday I decided to give Ritz another look. Lots of things have changed. They are pushing the VIP memberships (lifetime cost somewhere between $650 and $900). You can do one day VIP for $125, but it is only in one area down stairs. Overall the club and the girls looked good. Lots of big screen TVs, pool tables, etc… It is truly a sports bar with extras. Dances outside of the VIP are in the open and are at best OK. I did a one day VIP. The one day VIP area is still under constructions with very little music and the couches are leather/plastic which get hot. I am not sure there are even AC vents in the dance rooms. My dancer Stacy was a great dance and even seemed to enjoy herself. Overall, my guess is this is a great place with a lifetime memberships. I was told the VIP rooms upstairs are much nicer.
