I had not visited the Cheyenne...
I had not visited the Cheyenne Club for a number of months and decided to check it out on a Monday evening around 8:30 PM. Cover charge was (only) $ 5. There were reportedly 16 dancers on duty when I arrived and approximately 10 customers in house. Numerous dancers said it was unusually slow for a Monday evening and mentioned that the previous evening (Sunday) had also been very slow. One dancer said it would probably get busy around midnight. I would not bet on that on a Monday night and did not stay that late to find out.
There are only a few seats are the bar and all other places to sit are at tables in the main floor area. I prefer to sit at the bar when first arriving because you can get trapped at a table with a dancer you are not interested in. While sitting at the bar dancers tend to sit down next to you for a bit and move on if you don't show much interest in private dances.
The club has a full bar and two or three beers on tap. Drink prices are reasonable at $ 6 to $ 9. Be careful ordering a drink for a dancer and confirm the price and the dance plan before you order. There is one large main dance stage and a small second stage that is used even when the things are pretty slow. You can purchase a $ 10 table dance (reportedly only $ 5 on Sunday) out in the main area to check out a dancer before going back into the VIP room. Customers must keep their hands totally off the dancer while on the main floor, but, as mentioned below, the dancers seem to do a very nice job of touching during the $ 10 dance. There is a fair amount of pressure from both waitresses and dancers for the $ 10 dances and to move into the VIP room.
