I visit SR again Sunday evening...

I visit SR again Sunday evening last weekend around 7pm or so. I didn't pay to park or pay to get in. I haven't been in a few months, since my last few visits had been fairly with none of my favs working. This time, they had a two new changes that made it worse for me.

The first was that there is now a dude at the door with a metal detector and checking ID's. While I appreciate that the change reduces the likelihood of an incident in the club, like Chris Rock says - when you walk out of a club with a metal detector, all the people outside know you ain't got a gun...

The other change that made it worse was that they've now moved to forcing the girls to wear gowns. This appears to be in response to Monroe's down the street trying to reinvent itself as a more upscale club, as SR has always been the classiest of the clubs on this street. Today, there was only one girl on stage the 30 or 45 minutes or so. The rest were all roaming around in their gowns. Oddly enough, the girl on stage was anything but classy, jamming her monkey all in the customers faces and generally dancing in a way that would be classified as classy. Another oddity, is that drinks were more expensive Sunday ($8 before 8pm,$5 after) afternoon than Sunday evening and than other other weekday.
