I used to frequent this club...
I used to frequent this club quite frequently before it became a purely Latin club. I have gone a couple of times since it changed over, but I always found it kind of intimidating. Hardly anybody can speak English, there are mostly young Hispanic guys who are blue collar and look kind of rough, the exterior of the club is kind of dark and forbidding, the parking lot has a lot of potholes, the interior furnishings look like they are worn out, and the music is almost 100% Latin and real loud.
However, I kept on hearing good things about the club so late one night after midnight after watching a basketball game at a nearby sports bar, I drove by. First I noticed there were a lot of cars in the lot. That's always a good sign. Also, they had done some renovation and the exterior of the club was somewhat better lighted. Additionally, a security guard was walking around the premises, so I didn't fear for the safety of my vehicle. So I got out and took a chance.
First I walk through the huge lobby, and get hit with a $13.50 cover charge. That's very high for a 2nd or 3rd tier club so that was a bit off-putting. Then I walk in and the beer cooler has nobody manning it. I waited around for a few minutes around the bar to get my beer but nobody came to take my order. Finally, a waitress waiting in line took pity on me and said she would bring me my Corona. The beer was $6 which is a decent price for a strip club.
