Not much has changed at Visions...
Not much has changed at Visions in the two decades, or more, that I've been attending this club. I understand that the ownership has gone through at least one change during that time, but mostly it's business as usual here. That means that, as far as New Orleans goes, this is definitely the most reliably enjoyable strip-club to attend. It has better-than-average women, and better-than-average contact, and better-than-average prices. Nothing here is extremely good or extremely bad, usually. Compared to some other cities, it's just a neighborhood bar. Compared to the tourist-clip-joints in the French Quarter, it's the best place to go in town, no doubt.
As far as the women, Visions certainly doesn't live up to the higher standards of a city like Las Vegas, Tampa, or San Francisco, for female quality of beauty. The women who dance here are less glitzy than what you usually imagine, as a type of girl who dances as a stripper in (for example) Las Vegas. There are SOME extremely attractive women at Visions, in the 8s or 9s range, but there are generally no stone-cold-10s as there would be in Vegas. And at Visions, the 6s and 4s are also dancing. On the Vegas main strip they'd be asked to leave for lack of good looks. That's the level of girls at Visions most of the year, except during some kind of event week, like for Mardi Gras or SuperBowl, maybe, when out of town girls come in.
But then, most out of town girls are going to be trolling the French Quarter, not way out here on Donwman in the industrial area. Because of its neighborhood feel, you can rely on Visions for personable interaction among clients and dancers. And you can rely on SOME of the most attractive regular dancers in New Orleans being here at Visions. French Quarter dancers tend to a wider range, and to a greater number or transients. Visions has the New Orleans local girls, and the South Louisiana and South Mississippi local girls, more so than elsewhere in town. And girls who are bashful about dancing, or who want to try it out as shooter-girls and so forth, often try things out at Visions before hitting the brighter lights and bigger risks of the French Quarter, since it probably seems less intimidating to them, to be out in a "townie" district rather than surrounded by all the tourists and cops and bright lights of the French Quarter.
